Notorious Hide & Seek — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Notorious Hide & Seek Garry's Mod server, website, store, community services, and any related products or services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing the Services, creating an account, joining the server, or purchasing any product, rank, currency, perk, package, or other digital item, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Services or make a purchase through the Notorious Hide & Seek store.

1. Digital Products

Products sold through the Notorious Hide & Seek store are digital products intended for use within our Services.

Digital products may include, but are not limited to:

You are purchasing a limited right to access the applicable digital benefit while it remains available as part of the Services.

By completing a purchase, you confirm that:

  4. You understand that server content and features may change over time; and
  5. You agree to these Terms.

Prices may be changed at any time.

A price change will not normally affect a purchase that has already been completed.

3. Refund Policy

All sales are generally final.

Because our products consist primarily of digital goods, virtual items, ranks, currencies, and benefits that may be delivered immediately after purchase, we are generally not required to provide voluntary refunds, exchanges, or store credit after a purchase has been fulfilled.

Refunds may be provided at our sole discretion or where required by applicable law.

4. Duplicate and Accidental Purchases

5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe there is a problem with a transaction, we strongly encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Fraudulent, dishonest, or abusive chargebacks may result in:

A chargeback will not automatically result in punishment where the dispute was made legitimately or where applicable law provides you with the right to dispute the transaction.

We reserve the right to provide transaction records, account records, delivery records, server logs, and other relevant evidence to our payment processor when responding to a payment dispute.

6. Virtual Currency

Notorious Hide & Seek may provide one or more forms of virtual currency, including regular Points and Premium Points.

Virtual currencies:

Purchasing virtual currency gives you a limited license to use that currency within the Services. It does not give you ownership of a monetary asset.

We may adjust how virtual currencies are earned, spent, valued, or used as the server economy develops.

We may also introduce, modify, rebalance, or discontinue items purchasable using virtual currency.

7. Ranks and Purchased Benefits

Ranks and other purchased benefits may provide additional features, permissions, cosmetics, commands, rewards, or other advantages.

The exact features associated with a rank may change over time.

Purchasing a rank does not guarantee that every feature associated with that rank at the time of purchase will remain unchanged permanently.

We may reasonably modify ranks to:

Where practical, we may replace a discontinued paid feature with a reasonably comparable benefit, but we do not guarantee that this will always be possible.

8. Duration of Products

Products may be permanent, temporary, subscription-based, or available for another specified duration.

A product described as "permanent," "lifetime," or similar means that the benefit does not have a predetermined expiration date while the applicable Notorious Hide & Seek service continues to operate and support that benefit.

The server, website, store, database, or other Services may become temporarily or permanently unavailable because of:

We may add, remove, replace, rebalance, redesign, or otherwise modify:

11. Server Closure

We reserve the right to suspend, discontinue, shut down, sell, transfer, rebrand, or substantially modify the Services.

If Notorious Hide & Seek permanently shuts down, purchased digital products may become inaccessible.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the permanent closure of the Services does not automatically create an obligation to refund historical purchases.

Any rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

12. Account Responsibility

Purchases may be linked to your:

13. Account Transfers

Purchases are generally associated with the account for which they were purchased.

Ranks, currency, progression, items, and other benefits may not be transferred, sold, traded, gifted, or exchanged between accounts unless we explicitly permit it.

We are not required to transfer purchases because you created a new Steam account or lost access to your original account.

14. Bans and Moderation

Purchasing something from Notorious Hide & Seek does not exempt you from server rules.

Paying users are subject to the same applicable moderation rules as other users.

You may still be:

Moderation actions do not normally entitle you to a refund.

15. Abuse of Purchased Features

You may not use purchased features to:

16. Exploits, Bugs, and Unintended Benefits

Users may not intentionally exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, configuration mistakes, payment errors, duplication glitches, or unintended server behavior for personal benefit.

Where appropriate, accounts involved in intentional exploitation may also be restricted or banned.

17. Fraud

We may cooperate with payment processors or lawful authorities when legally required.

18. Reselling and Commercial Use

Unless we explicitly authorize it, you may not resell, redistribute, commercially exploit, or operate a secondary market for products purchased through Notorious Hide & Seek.

You may not represent yourself as an authorized reseller, employee, owner, or representative of Notorious Hide & Seek without permission.

19. Gifts

If our store allows products to be purchased for another user, you are responsible for ensuring that the correct recipient is selected.

Once a gift has been delivered or redeemed, it may not be transferable or refundable except where required by law.

20. Promotions and Discounts

Promotions, discounts, giveaways, coupon codes, sales, or special offers may be subject to additional conditions.

Purchasing an item shortly before a sale does not automatically entitle you to a refund of the difference.

If you successfully pay for a product but do not receive it, contact our support team and provide reasonable proof of purchase.

Players may encounter content created by other users, addon developers, Workshop creators, or community members.

We do not necessarily endorse opinions or content submitted by users.

Users are responsible for content they submit through systems such as chat, names, profile information, reports, tickets, or other community features.

Content that violates server rules may be removed.

25. Intellectual Property

The Notorious Hide & Seek name, branding, original graphics, website content, custom code, original server systems, and other original materials may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners.

Nothing in a store purchase transfers ownership of Notorious Hide & Seek intellectual property to the purchaser.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, impersonate, or commercially exploit our original content without permission except where applicable law permits otherwise.

26. Unauthorized Access and Interference

You may not attempt to:

27. Data and Progress

We take reasonable measures to maintain server data, but we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost or corrupted.

Data loss may occur because of technical failures, software bugs, database corruption, third-party failures, or other circumstances.

We do not guarantee restoration of ordinary gameplay progress, statistics, earned currency, inventory, or other non-purchased data.

28. Staff Decisions

Server administrators and moderators may make decisions necessary to enforce server rules and protect the community.

If you believe a staff decision was incorrect, you should use the designated appeal or support process rather than attempting to circumvent the decision.

Abusing staff, threatening staff, or initiating fraudulent payment disputes in retaliation for moderation may itself result in additional restrictions.

29. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Notorious Hide & Seek and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.

30. No Guarantee of Specific Results

We do not guarantee that purchasing a product will improve your gameplay performance, enjoyment, ranking, progression, win rate, or experience.

Unless specifically advertised otherwise, purchases do not guarantee any particular gameplay outcome.

31. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses reasonably arising from your intentional misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person's rights, or unlawful activity conducted through your account.

This provision does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.

32. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Services develop or where changes are necessary for legal, security, technical, operational, or business reasons.

The current version of these Terms will be made available through our website, store, or another reasonable location.

For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

33. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

34. No Waiver

If we choose not to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion, that does not permanently waive our right to enforce that provision in the future.

35. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable server rules, privacy policy, product-specific conditions, and other policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing your use of the Services.

If a product has additional terms clearly disclosed before purchase, those additional terms also apply to that product.

36. Age and Authorization to Purchase

You must be legally capable of entering into a transaction or have permission from a parent, legal guardian, or other person legally authorized to approve the purchase where such permission is required.

You may not make purchases using another person's payment method without their authorization.

37. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the operator of Notorious Hide & Seek is established, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you based on your location.

38. Support and Disputes

If you experience a problem with a purchase, you should contact Notorious Hide & Seek support through our designated support system.

When contacting support regarding a transaction, you may be required to provide information reasonably necessary to locate and verify the purchase.

We encourage users to contact us directly so that legitimate billing or delivery problems can be investigated before escalating the matter through a payment provider.

39. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Services or completing a purchase through the Notorious Hide & Seek store, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms.

Your purchase remains subject to any consumer rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
